Basketball Recap: Lummi Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Lummi Blackhawks came up short against the Lynden Christian Lyncs on Saturday and fell 70-60.

Leading Lynden Christian to victory were Dawson Hintz and Kaden Veldman. Hintz shot 63% from the field to rack up 29 points and eight boards, while Veldman went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Harvest Howell, who posted seven points and five assists.

Lummi's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lynden Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lummi will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Friday Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Wolverines' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lynden Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Bellingham at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
