Wells faced Leavitt in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors snuck past the Hornets with a 12-7 victory. Those 12 points were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Noah McDonough threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Kevin Bolduc was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Dominic Carbonneau rushed for 77 yards.

Wells now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Leavitt, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wells is set to take on their familiar foe Greely at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Leavitt will square off against rival Gardiner at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 13.2, the Tigers 8) so any points scored will be well earned.
