Basketball Recap: Plattsburgh Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Plattsburgh, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Peru Nighthawks on Friday. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 767th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plattsburgh's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Peru, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Plattsburgh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-38 loss against Ogdensburg Free Academy on the 25th. As for Peru, they will head out to face off against Schroon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Schroon Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Peru likes a good challenge.
