Basketball Game Preview: Landrum Cardinals vs. Broome Centurions

Two dominant guards in Benett Edwards and Damarius Jeter are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Landrum Cardinals will head out to face off against the Broome Centurions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Landrum knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Broome likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Landrum didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Liberty, but they still walked away with a 64-60 victory.

Cooper Tidwell had an outrageously good game as he went 10 for 13 on his way to 28 points and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Andrew Coleman was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Landrum was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only racked up ten assists.

Meanwhile, Broome narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Chapman 51-49.

Landrum's record now sits at 13-6. As for Broome, their record now sits at 9-10.

Landrum strolled past Broome when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 81-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Landrum since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
