The Clear Creek Golddiggers will venture away from home to challenge the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Colony Prep took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Clear Creek, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Clear Creek turned things around against Belleview Christian on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins. The Golddiggers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0).

Clear Creek never let Belleview Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Union Colony Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Dayspring Christian Academy.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-2.

Clear Creek's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Union Colony Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Clear Creek took their win against Union Colony Prep in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golddiggers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
