Baseball Recap: Flat Rock Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carlson, Flat Rock was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Airport Jets 6-5. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 win the Jets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Flat Rock got a great performance from Jayden Yancy as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Yancy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mikey Giroux, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. David Riddle was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Flat Rock's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Airport, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
