Globe dropped down to 6-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Benson Bobcats 49-6. Having soared to a lofty 37 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jaeger Franco threw for 81 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Bryson Lymon was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Ben Layton rushed for 50 yards.

As for Benson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points in those games.

Dawson Judd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 307 yards and six TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 31 yards. His passing game has become a key predictor of Benson's success: the team is 6-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. The Bobcats' leading receiver Rawley Evans was Judd's top target yet again, picking up 112 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Globe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benson, they will face off against Phoenix Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
