Basketball Recap: Demopolis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Demopolis can now relate to. They fell 47-34 to the Jemison Panthers on Monday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 47-36.

Jemison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zariyah Johnson, who posted 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Johnson has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Bean, who put up 15 points and three steals.

Demopolis' loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Jemison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

As of now, neither Demopolis nor Jemison have any future games scheduled.
