Volleyball Recap: Irondequoit Find Success

Irondequoit extended their postseason success on Saturday against Canandaigua Academy. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Gray Wolves. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gray Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Irondequoit was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 24-26, 25-8.

Aleah Nolan was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten digs and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Nolan wasn't the only good servers: Irondequoit was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 24 consecutive matchups.

Irondequoit's record now sits at 23-5-3. As for Canandaigua Academy, they moved to 12-15-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Irondequoit will venture away from home to take on Victor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canandaigua Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
