After having lost a blowout in their previous game against James River Midlothian, L.C. Bird was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hermitage Panthers by a score of 10-7. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Courtney Spence spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
