Recap: Unity Christian Knights vs. East Moline Christian Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morning Star Academy, the Unity Christian Knights were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past East Moline Christian 50-13 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Unity Christian has managed all season.
Unity Christian found their leader in underclassman Maddy Wilbur, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilbur has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julia Van Kampen, who scored 12 points.
Unity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for East Moline Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Unity Christian will head out on the road to square off against Quad Cities Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Quad Cities Christian will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. East Moline Christian will take on Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Faith Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
