Basketball Recap: South Spencer Comes Up Short

South Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Southridge Raiders, falling 63-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 66-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

South Spencer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Southridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Spencer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boonville at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southridge, they and Barr-Reeve will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
