Baseball Preview: Carlinville Cavaliers vs. Greenville Comets        
        
		
            
 Carlinville has been on the road for three straight, but  on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Greenville Comets at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 Carlinville scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pana  and snuck past  10-9.
  Noah Byots made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Byots was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Camden Naugle was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Greenville can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Monday. They never let Mater Dei onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. Winning may never get old, but Greenville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Carlinville's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Greenville,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6-1.
 Carlinville beat Greenville 7-3  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Does  Carlinville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenville turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
