Softball Game Preview: West Wolfpack vs. Lodi Flames

West hasn't had much luck against Lodi recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolfpack will venture away from home to face off against the Flames at 4:00 p.m. West has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West fell victim to St. Mary's and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Rams.

Tracy hit Lodi with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Flames fell 7-2 to the Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Flames in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Lodi saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Schweigerdt, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Avery Mauch was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Lodi's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

West couldn't quite get it done against Lodi in their previous meeting on April 9th as they fell 5-0. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
