Basketball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Aurora East Tomcats, falling 61-19. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-28 on January 2nd.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Aurora East, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will welcome Bartlett at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora East, they will host West Chicago at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
