St. George's is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Collierville just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 6-5.

Meanwhile, Christian Brothers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lynx.

Christian Brothers' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for St. George's, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

St. George's suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Christian Brothers when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can the Gryphons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
