Recap: Southern Wake Academy Lions vs. Triangle Math & Science Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Southern Wake Academy Lions, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They were dealt a 60-8 defeat at the hands of Triangle Math & Science on Friday. Southern Wake Academy has not had much luck with Triangle Math & Science recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kadence Hamilton was Southern Wake Academy's leading scorer, having posted four points. Hamilton held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Samrita Sriram continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Triangle Math & Science, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sriram has scored all season. Leanna Nohs was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six steals.
Southern Wake Academy's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Triangle Math & Science, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Wake Academy will take on Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triangle Math & Science, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against River Mill at 6:00 p.m.
