Basketball Game Preview: Madison Jaguars vs. Oak Grove Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Madison Jaguars take on the Oak Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Madison knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Oak Grove likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Madison humbled Mangham with a 73-44 victory. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove came up short against Ouachita Christian on Friday and fell 62-50. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Oak Grove, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Grove when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 48-46. Does Madison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
