Galena entered their tilt with School of the Ozarks on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 54-42 win over the School of the Ozarks Patriots. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while the Patriots are ranked 516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, School of the Ozarks still got an impressive performance from Josiah Martin, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briggs Wilhoit, who posted seven points.

Galena's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. As for School of the Ozarks, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
