Softball Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to the Hamilton Marines. The Legends were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Ashlyn Maple made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Kiera Hancock also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Fort Wayne North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hamilton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Fort Wayne North Side will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne Snider at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they will head out to face off against Lakewood Park Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marines are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
