Pymatuning Valley has gone a perfect 5-0 against Harding recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lakers will square off against the Skippers at 5:00 p.m. Pymatuning Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Pymatuning Valley will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Mathews, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lakers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs on Monday, sneaking past 10-8.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Croston, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sean Croston, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Pymatuning Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harding). Everything went their way against Richmond Heights on Tuesday as they made off with a 30-0 win. With that victory, the Skippers brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Elijah Harless was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. Nick Merson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Harding's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Pymatuning Valley, their record is now 10-2.
Harding's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pymatuning Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .402. It's a different story for Harding, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Pymatuning Valley's hitters?
Everything went Pymatuning Valley's way against Harding in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Pymatuning Valley made off with a 19-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
