Football Game Preview: Powdersville Patriots vs. Mountain View Prep Stars + Official Tickets

The Powdersville Patriots will challenge the Mountain View Prep Stars on Friday. Powdersville will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Powdersville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 30-7 margin over Pendleton. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Powdersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nasir Waldrop, who rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 58 receiving yards. Xavier Huggins was in the mix as well, providing the Patriots with three scores.

Powdersville's run defense was locked in: Pendleton could only muster 0.8 yards per carry. The Patriots didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.6.

Powdersville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Stephen Hudgins was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.

Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep slipped by Crescent 50-49 on Friday. The Stars haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

A big part of Mountain View Prep's victory came down to the chemistry between Mak Anderson and his top target Kadarus Hainsworth. Anderson threw for 332 yards and four TDs while completing 86.4% of his passes while Hainsworth gained 252 total yards and three touchdowns. Those 332 passing yards gave Anderson a new career-high. Dylan McKey did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 43 receiving yards.

Powdersville's record now sits at 10-2. As for Mountain View Prep, their record is now 10-1.
