Basketball Game Preview: Centerville Bulldogs vs. South Terrebonne Gators

The Centerville Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the South Terrebonne Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Centerville ended up a good deal behind Covenant Christian Academy and lost 60-44. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-38, which was the final score in South Terrebonne's tilt against South Lafourche on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Tarpons are ranked 91st).

South Terrebonne has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. As for Centerville, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Centerville was taken down by South Terrebonne 51-21 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Centerville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
