Basketball Recap: Union Extends Winning Streak to Six

Union came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Powder Valley Badgers 54-37. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Badgers are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Powder Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
