Basketball Recap: DuSable Takes a Loss

DuSable suffered their closest loss since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Chicago Military Academy Eagles by a score of 51-48. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

When it comes to explaining why DuSable lost, don't look at Patrick Malone. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. Malone's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Suggs, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Jamhad Noye-Mohammad continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chicago Military Academy, putting up 20 points. Another player making a difference was Trevion Anderson, who put up 11 points.

DuSable now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Chicago Military Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

DuSable has already played their next game (against Excel Academy of Englewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chicago Military Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
