Recap: Mauldin Mavericks vs. T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets
The Mauldin Mavericks waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 74-63 victory over T.L. Hanna. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mauldin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alverez Smith, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Braden Hershberger was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Mauldin's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for T.L. Hanna, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.
Coincidentally, Mauldin and T.L. Hanna will both be playing J.L. Mann the next time they take the court. T.L. Hanna will host J.L. Mann at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mauldin will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
