Marlborough's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the North Middlesex Regional Patriots. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Shauna Bopp was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Erin Seder was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marlborough kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Middlesex Regional only managed five hits.

Marlborough's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for North Middlesex Regional, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Marlborough will look to defend their home field on the 28th against South at 4:00 p.m. As for North Middlesex Regional, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Lowell Catholic on the 21st.
