Baseball Recap: Marathon Comes Up Short

The Marathon Dolphins came up short against the Fort Meade Miners on Thursday and fell 6-3. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marathon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Marathon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Fort Meade, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Marathon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Westminster Academy on the 29th. As for Fort Meade, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Hardee on the 28th.
