Basketball Recap: Illinois Valley Comes Up Short

Illinois Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 47-19 to the Oakland Oakers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 47-19 defeat last Thursday.

Illinois Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Oakland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

While Illinois Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
