Baseball Recap: Powdersville Comes Up Short

Powdersville and Southside Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Powdersville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Sabres, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss back in March.

Powdersville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Southside Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-2-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Powdersville nor Southside Christian have any future games scheduled.
