Basketball Recap: Ravenscroft's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Ravenscroft won the last time they faced North Raleigh Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ravenscroft Ravens enjoyed a cozy 57-38 win over the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights. Given the Ravens' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Knights are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brennen Jefferson and Tristan Thompson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Jefferson posted 15 points, while Thompson had six points in addition to ten boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Hernandez, who scored seven points.

Ravenscroft's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Ravenscroft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-72 win against Durham Academy on the 30th. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-42 victory against Crossroads Christian on the 31st.
