Softball Recap: Altamonte Christian Eagles vs. Warner Christian Academy Eagles
Altamonte Christian can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Warner Christian Academy Eagles as the Altamonte Christian Eagles made off with a 14-7 victory. The win was just what Altamonte Christian needed coming off of a 17-6 loss in their prior match.
Maya Snelson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Snelson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Snelson was even better at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Brooklynne Farran was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI and three runs. Deja Robinson was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
On Warner Christian Academy's side, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Noske, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiara Cutler, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Altamonte Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Warner Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Altamonte Christian will face off against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warner Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
