Softball Recap: Downers Grove North Has No Trouble Against Blue Island Eisenhower

It's playoff time, and Downers Grove North had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the match before.

Viktoria Czech was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Lehnherr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Downers Grove North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Downers Grove North and bumps their season record up to 18-14. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-21.
