Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Centennial can now relate to. They fell 9-6 to the Alamogordo Tigers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-9 defeat back in April.

Katy Howard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Kendra Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Alamogordo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Centennial nor Alamogordo have any future games scheduled.
