Football Recap: Howard Comes Up Short on the Road Against Westside + How To Watch

Howard kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westside Seminoles. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Leading Westside to victory were Tyleik Flint and James Neville. Flint rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, while Neville rushed for 73 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Neville a new career-high.

Howard will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rutland at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Westside, they will face off against Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
