AA Region VI recap October 1, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ridgeland/Hardeeville, who defeated 119th ranked Battery Creek, 28-26. Derrell Myers ran for 58 yards during the win.
Woodland added to the longest winning streak in AA Region VI this week by beating Academic Magnet, 62-7. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Jaguars' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Myers contributed 58 yards. Gavin Bush helped Ridgeland/Hardeeville's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 23 yards.
Shawn Wilson was a passing and rushing force as Ridgeland/Hardeeville beat the Dolphins. He completed 7 passes for 96 yards and also ran for 53 yards. Wilson's key target this week was Frank Fields, who caught 2 passes for 56 yards.
