Basketball Recap: Gompers Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Gompers Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Coastal Academy Stingrays, falling 52-23.

Gompers Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Coastal Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gompers Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cristo Rey at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026. As for Coastal Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
