Volleyball Recap: Black River Pirates vs. Columbia Raiders
If Black River was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Oberlin on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Columbia Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.
While Black River ultimately came up short, they really made Columbia work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11.
