Basketball Recap: Maplewood's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Maplewood came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Jamestown Muskies with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 43-25. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-37 back in January.

Maplewood's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Jamestown, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Maplewood Tigers challenge the Commodore Perry Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown has already played their next match (against Wilmington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
