Baseball Recap: Sparks Comes Up Short

Sparks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Valleys Panthers, falling 10-1. If the Railroaders were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sparks saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Rogers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sparks' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Valleys, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparks will host Truckee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Truckee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season. As for North Valleys, they will be playing at home against South Tahoe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Valleys also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 8.6 runs per game.
