Baseball Recap: West Marion Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for West Marion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Rock-a-Chaws last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

West Marion's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-15. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Stanislaus, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.
