Plainfield North faced Oswego in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Panthers. Plainfield North's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Plainfield North's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for Oswego, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-2-2.
