Baseball Recap: Waverly Tigers vs. Wheelersburg Pirates
Waverly had lost seven straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 10-11 to make it eight. They fell just short of the Wheelersburg Pirates by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.
As for Wheelersburg, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.
