League recap: Fort Wayne Snider moves into state Top 25

Fort Wayne Snider was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Fort Wayne Wayne. The Panthers came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran extended the longest winning streak in Summit this week by beating Bellmont, 48-15. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Cadets.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Morrison threw for 291 and 3 touchdowns and Jake Minich had 139 yards receiving. On the ground Jon Poore contributed 140 yards. Poore helped Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 75 yards.

He went 12-18 with 0 interceptions.

Morrison put up the best numbers through the air as Tim Mannigel's team defeated the Braves. Morrison's favorite target this week was Minich, who caught 6 passes for 139 yards.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cadets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Morrison has thrown for 2,806 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while Minich has 83 catches for 1,219 yards.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Cadets and Fort Wayne Bishop Luers face off next week.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fort Wayne Snider takes on Fort Wayne North Side. Kurt Tippmann's team is currently in first, while the Redskins are in fourth.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger took down Angola 45-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
