American Leadership Academy-Johnston has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Wake Prep Academy Guardians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.
American Leadership Academy-Johnston suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Riverside Christian Academy 62-9. American Leadership Academy-Johnston was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-4.
Meanwhile, Wake Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind St. Mary's two weeks ago and lost 42-25.
Despite their loss, Wake Prep Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chelsea Lange, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Olivia Langton was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
American Leadership Academy-Johnston now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Wake Prep Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
American Leadership Academy-Johnston might still be hurting after the 52-28 defeat they got from Wake Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can American Leadership Academy-Johnston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
