Riverside's win ends four-game losing streak on the road

The Riverside Pirates's four-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-22 win over Umatilla. The victory was just what Riverside needed coming off of a 42-18 loss in their prior contest.

Among those leading the charge was Julie Magana, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Crystal Sanchez, who scored 18 points.

Riverside's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9. As for Umatilla, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Vale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Umatilla, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Burns at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th. Burns is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
