Basketball Game Preview: Chattahoochee County Panthers vs. Bowdon Red Devils

The Chattahoochee County Panthers will face off against the Bowdon Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chattahoochee County is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since January 14th on Thursday. They fell just short of Taylor County by a score of 65-63. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bowdon beat Trion 52-47 on Saturday.

Chattahoochee County better keep an eye on Kaiden Prothro. He was instrumental in Bowdon's win, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Prothro is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Johnson, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Bowdon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Chattahoochee County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Bowdon, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Chattahoochee County came up short against Bowdon when the teams last played back in February of 2016, falling 55-45. Thankfully for Chattahoochee County, Octavius Meadows (who went 11-for-15 en route to 25 points and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
