Softball Game Preview: Central Decatur Cardinals vs. Moravia Mohawks

The Central Decatur Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Moravia Mohawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Decatur has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Central Decatur didn't have quite enough to beat Nodaway Valley and fell 12-11.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Moravia was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against Wayne, falling 9-0. The Mohawks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Moravia's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Central Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Central Decatur skirted past Moravia 8-7 in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
