McIntosh hadn't done well against Timber Lake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers skirted past the Panthers 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was McIntosh who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 28-26.

McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Timber Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. McIntosh will head out to square off against Richardton-Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timber Lake, they will venture away from home to take on Herreid/Selby at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
