Dixie is 7-2 against Palmetto since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hornets will face off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Dixie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Dixie proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat GREEN Upstate by a goal, winning 3-2. Dixie had to overcome some adversity as Drew Biggerstaff and Andrew Stoltzfus were both handed red cards.

Joshua Beiler and Tyler Gambrell scored all three of Dixie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Meanwhile, Palmetto fell victim to Powdersville and their airtight defense last Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Palmetto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Powdersville are ranked sixth).

Dixie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matches. As for Palmetto, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Dixie came up short against Palmetto in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 4-2. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
